Chocolate Demos

Every Saturday at 1:30 and 3:30 at the Periodic Table on level B of Science City a Science City educator will perform one of the following demonstrations:

Candy Bar Identification Game
Can you recognize your favorite candy bar from the inside? Compete with your friends to see who will be the candy bar grand master.

Chocolate for your Senses
Use your senses to decipher the chemical differences between various types of chocolate. Learn about the ingredients in chocolate and how it is classified into grades.

Chocolate Sculptures
Be a food artist and make a sculpture with dough that resembles modeling chocolate. Learn about the different chocolates and techniques used for making chocolate art.

Chocolate for Hot Chocolate
Chocolate - More than a food that tastes good. Test the properties of Dutch chocolate and regular chocolate to determine why one mixes with water and one does not.
